Simple but Powerful: Part I

“If you want to be a writer, write” says the Philosopher. I will add:

If you want to be a singer, sing.

If you want to be a leader, lead.

If you want to be servant, serve.

If you to be wiser, learn and listen more.

If you want.... to be... then be.

Look at how action oriented these statements are. Let me put them in two parts:

The first is the “If then clause”. If you.... then..... It is conditional but also goal oriented. If I want to travel say to Gbarnga, I take the road to Gbarnga. There is a designation (goal) in my mind, then followed by action(s).

The second part is the responsibility that is on you. In order words, the power that you have. Again, “If you want to be, be”. It is what I call “the perception of self-confidence” that you have. It is in you and you have control. You are actually in charge of your destiny. Of course there are things that you cannot control and those are determined by God. Leave those with Him and do not worry about them.

Just in case I was not clear, the me say again:

“If you want to be a writer, write”

If you want to be a singer, sing.

If you want to be a leader, lead.

If you want to be servant, serve.

If you to be wiser, learn and listen more.

If you want.... to be... then be.
